QAQC Commissioning Engineer – Dublin – Construction

Our client is a €500m turnover, multi-disciplined main contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. They undertake large turnkey projects for blue-chip clientele, in Europe the focus is on Data Centres and similar tech-focussed projects. In Ireland they operate as more of a generalist main contractor working across a variety of industry sectors including healthcare / hospitals, residential, education and industrial  

Due to a recent project win, our client is now seeking a QAQC Commissioning Engineer in Dublin.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement Quality Assurance Plans: The QAQC Commissioning Engineer is responsible for creating detailed quality assurance plans that outline the processes, procedures, and standards to be followed during commissioning. These plans ensure that all systems, installations, and components meet both internal and external quality standards.
  • Inspect and Test Systems: They perform thorough inspections, testing, and assessments of all systems, equipment, and installations before they are handed over for operation. This includes verifying that mechanical, electrical, and other systems work according to design specifications and industry standards.
  • Coordinate and Supervise Commissioning Activities: The engineer oversees the commissioning process, which involves collaborating with other teams, such as construction, design, and operations, to ensure smooth integration of all systems. They ensure that all activities are completed on time and within budget, while maintaining a focus on quality control.
  • Ensure Compliance with Safety and Regulatory Standards: QAQC Commissioning Engineers must ensure that all systems meet safety and regulatory standards. They conduct safety checks, verify that necessary certifications are in place, and ensure that all systems comply with local, national, and international codes and regulations.
  • Document and Report on Commissioning Results: After completing tests and inspections, the engineer is responsible for documenting the results, including any issues or deviations from the original specifications. They prepare commissioning reports and quality control documentation for future reference, compliance, and project closure.

Requirements

Must have 3+ years’ experience in a similar role

Must have relevant degree or equivalent trades background
